The latest in the world of Olivia:
"I have perfume on that hurts me....(Naomi mumbles something)...that's why I told you it's disgusting and it makes your ears itchy!"
Earlier today she was running around with an old Easter hat on that the bottom row had broken away from the hat. She had that down under her chin and that was her army helmet! She had an old cake box with rubber bands on it as her army shield and her sword was a baby doll bottle. She was ready for battle!

Beautiful Gianna!
Margaret, Kaitlin and Maureen were kind enough to come over Saturday (and bring dinner and cupcakes and a gift for Naomi!) and watch the kids for us so we could go down and meet beautiful little Gianna! She is absolutely. so. beautiful! We loved meeting her and visiting with Kate and Dan! We even snuck in a dinner date! And when we got home, the kids were fed, clean and in bed fast asleep! Thank you Margaret, Kaitlin and Maureen!
One Saturday Morning
Pete had to attend a continuing education class today, so the kids and I were flying solo. I decided to make pancakes for a change of pace. Naomi "helped" me flip them. They ended up a bit messy, but she felt a real sense of accomplishment.
Timmy just hung out in his highchair and ate the pancakes and watched.
Olivia decided to make her own meal with her play food. The following sequence is what happened when I asked her to smile for me:

Naomi's 3rd Birthday!
We had a little brunch with grandparents/great grandparents to celebrate Naomi's 3rd birthday last Sunday. I think the little princess enjoyed it :-)
Perition Book
Another Olivia story...
I was just in changing Timmy's diaper and we have a nursery rhyme book on the shelf above him. Olivia said "Mommy, can I have that book...that's my favorite...it's my perition book...I need that book to dance like the angels, because it's my perition book...and angels have to show the little kids how to dance, and I have to show the little kids how to dance...because that's my perition book...and I love Nicholas and Naomi and Timmy and I'm going to teach them how to dance with my perition book!"
I have no idea what a perition book is!

Lunchtime Conversation
Today's lunchtime conversation:
Olivia: "Guess what Mommy?"
Me: "What?"
Olivia: "Nicholas and I are going to get married and we're going to have a baby"
Me: "Oh!"
Olivia: "And the baby's name is going to be Sharbela"
Me: "That's an interesting name. Is it going to be a boy or girl?"
Olivia: "I don't know...we have to see what God gives us!"
Me: "Where are you going to live?"
Olivia: "Right next to you!"
Me: "And what is Nicholas going to do for work?"
Olivia: "I don't know!"
Me: "How big do you need to be before you can get married?"
Olivia: "Oh...your size Mommy!"
And there you have it!

Toothbrushes
Timmy has really taken a new leap in his ability to put two and two together. Last night we put him to bed and he cried and cried, which is unusual for him. Usually he goes right down. I knew something was wrong so I went in there to check on him. When I got over to his crib he started pointing to the door and then to his teeth and saying "tee tee". He wanted to brush his teeth! He knows that we brush our teeth before we got to bed and that I'd forgotten to do his!
The other day, he dragged over one of the child size chairs all the way to my closed bedroom door so he could climb up and reach the door knob. He stood up on it and was trying to open it when I caught him!
He can reach the pantry door handle now and let himself in there the other day. He loves the boiler room in there! True boy! The pantry door is now locked at all times!
As I type, he is climbing up the child size chair trying to climb over the back of the couch like he just saw his sister do (who was immediately reprimanded since we don't do that in this house!)

Spring weather and buzz cuts!
I decided to give Timmy his first buzz cut one morning. Olivia took the following pictures for me!
"I'm not so sure I like the idea of Mom being so close to my ear with those scissors!"
We decided to have a picnic lunch on the step since it was SO beautiful out yesterday! Good thing we did, because today we are covered in snow again! We got at least 4 inches today...UGHHH! That's a mean April Fools joke!
Timmy fell asleep at lunch in his high chair from all the excitement and activity of exploring the library during story time yesterday and playing outside when we got home!
Tea party for Kaite and Gianna
Mom had a lovely tea party to celebrate Gianna's upcoming arrival on the feast of the Annunciation (March 25). The girls had to dress up for the occasion of course!
"Hey Buddy! That's my pacifier!"
"Yeah, but my Mom won't let me have one anymore...can I just borrow it for a few minutes?!"

Too much cousin love!
Tim Tim wore his tie (smeared in banana of course!) for his very first tea party! (With two older sisters, I'm sure he'll have many more tea parties!) And one last look at Kaite pre-Gianna!
Mom did a great job setting the table!
